Grey-chinned Minivet (Female) on a Branch

The grey-chinned minivet is a species of bird in the family Campephagidae.

Feature:
The body length is 17-19 cm. Iris dark brown. Mouth and feet black.

The male is black from the top to the back, with black wings, with orange-red patches on the wings, and gray cheeks and throats. The waist and below the chest are orange-red, the base of the tail feathers and the two central tail feathers are black, and the rest are orange-red.

The body plumage of the female bird is roughly the same as that of the male bird, but the orange-red places are changed to yellow, and the coverts from the waist to the tail are olive yellow.

Sub-adults are roughly similar to females.

Distributed:
Himalayas, southern China, Southeast Asia, Taiwan and other places.
