Greater Bird-of-paradise – Natural Bird Sound
The greater bird-of-paradise is a bird-of-paradise in the genus Paradisaea.
Iris yellow. Mouth blue. Feet grey. The male bird is 43 cm long. The forehead, cheeks, and throat are dark green, and the top of the head and the back pillow are yellow. The upper body, wings, chest and abdomen are dark red chestnut. The flanks have gorgeous long feathers, the base is orange-yellow, the middle is yellow, the end is white, and the central tail feathers are wire-shaped.
The female bird is 35 cm long. The body is roughly chestnut brown, but the chest and belly are grayish white, and the flanks do not have the ornate plumage of male birds.
