Flowers in Giac Vien Pagoda – Quang Nam, Vietnam

Quang Nam is a province in the Central region of Vietnam.

Giac Vien Pagoda, also known as Ho Dat Pagoda (because it was in the Ho Dat canal), is an ancient temple.

In the year of Mau Ngo (1798), Giac Lam Pagoda was rebuilt by Zen master To Tong-Vien Quang (36th generation, abbot: 1774 – 1827).

To Tong-Vien Quang (1758 – 1827) was a Vietnamese Zen monk. In 1772, the monk went to the abbot of Giac Lam Pagoda, and turned this place into a “Buddhist campus”.
