Driving on the Weibei Highway – Qinghai, China
In this video, we will drive along the Weibei Highway located in Haidong, a prefecture-level city of Qinghai province in Western China.
This Weibei Highway extends from Huzhu County, Haidong City, Qinghai to Tianzhu County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province (known as the “Heroic Tribe”), and west to Menyuan, Haibei.
This is a popular weekend self-driving destination for locals in Qinghai.
In recent years more and more tourists from other provinces have come here to experience the colorful twelve bends and the Huzhugou Valley. The local authorities carefully painted this section of the road and even set up the twelve Chinese zodiac animals to guard it.
In addition to the core Twelve Bends, Beishan National Forest Park, Tiantang Temple, etc., there are also the Twelve Huzhu Valleys.
Each valley has different scenery, whether it is mountains, rocks, streams, waterfalls, or idyllic countryside. The scenery is different in summer and autumn.
Especially from the fork of Weibei Highway to Gangqing Highway, the whole way is full of scenery, which is the most suitable for self-driving and leisurely travel.
